My comment is simple. I have recently began volunteering at school. I notice that the people who are sub. teachers have a lot of work to do. I was wondering do they ever recieve raises at all? Because of they don't, it might be somethingto think about. A regular teacher can simply go to his or her own classroom everyday, be with the same students all the time. A sub. differs because they have to go to different children all the time. For example, one day possibly kindergarteners, the next maybe fifth grade students. A wide age difference. The regular teachers know what they are teaching and how they always want it taught, a sub. has to go in, and attempt to pick up where another teacher has left off. Another thing, a teacher may know who the trouble maker is in his/her class, and a sub may have no idea. I do look up to teachers but since I have been volunttering more I also look up to a substitue. We have to remember they are the ones who stand up and work when our other teachers are sick, etc. I don't know if this is the place o send this suggestion to, but if it is not please pass it along to the right people. I just think that maybe teh substitute is sometimes very much overlooked and even underpaid. this is just a suggestion but something nobody should complain over unless they approach you over it. Thank you.
