I graduated in 1998 and I went back after they moved to the state street location. I was able to get my transcript and diploma. However, I have been trying to locate them and 411 cannot seem to find them anywhere. Last summer I graduated from a city college--i had no problems registering or anything. Everyone is pretty much out of luck. The owner of the school packed up and is know where to be found. The school was not even accrediated with the board of education. Good luck to everyone.

Regarding Diploma Fraud

It is very obvious that everyone that has received a a diploma from this school has experienced a fraud. What a coincidence every student has had issues with their diploma. I will agree with anyone who is planning a lawsuit...PLease e-mail me!

Retrieving Diploma

Hello Everyone, I was able to get a copy of my diploma in 2005 at Marion School (not sure about spelling)which is now closed also. I called Illinois school (312) 814-2220 which eventually led me to tracking down who took over all of the records/transcripts of Cosmo. Hope this helps. You can also try calling Board of Education and they will direct you to someone that can help track down your cosmo diploma. Good Luck!

i am also a former student of that from what you would call a school. Its unfortunate that everyone keeps closing the door on us. Yes it was my fault that i didnt make the best decision when it came to highschool. But now i am trying to better myself at a university and its terrible that i may not be able to do so. Why should i have to sacrafice and get a GED when i shouldn't have to. Every number i am told to call is either an unknown number, or it just keeps ringing. What is the problem? Retrieving Diploma

I have been trying for the last 8 months to retrieve records from these people. I attended and received my diploma back in 1997. I just contacted the number listed above at (312)814-2220 and was told that they couldn't help & I needed to call the attorney's general office. I spoke to the attorney general and they stated that there is not much that can be done. They will send me a application so the complaint can be entered and will try to assist further from there but can't make any guarantee's. It doesn't make sense that all of that money was paid for nothing! We all need to get together and do a class action lawsuit against this guy who created Cosmopolitan Prep and take his ass for all we can. I graduated at Cosmopolitan on 1/14/93. While my diploma was recognized by the U.S Marines, when I returned home from military duty it was not recognized by the Cook County government. This forced me to go back and get my G.E.D. If there is a lawsuit in the process, please email me.

everybody seems to recognize cosmo exept the state board of ed. so somebody should start a class action lawsuit agaisnt them to force them to recognize all cosmo diplomas as real. If you go to loyola's website they list cosmo as a chicago high school, and if the u.s gov. recognizes it as a real high school why doesnt the state?

I graduated in 2001 and I am trying to find them. I spent thousands of dollars with them and if I can't get into a city college than I want my monet back.What we need to do is get together and go march some where so people can hear us. we should not have to go get a G.E.D because we were under the impression we were getting a H S dipoloma.The news need to hear this ,we can make something happend. Where is the justice from this scam?

I attend cosmo in 1997 and paid alot of money..thinking this was going to allow me to go on with my future, But this has been pure hell with getting help to catch these people. I have been embrassed infront of peers and colleges in ga. I just can't beleive what these people have done to all of our lives. No one will help or hear us out. I'm just sick of searching for a solution... Weclome to the U.S.A!! No justice!! NO peace!!
