Majorett Drill Team

I would like to start a drill team for chautuaqua county. And would like to set up a meeting to meet with each school or meet all together and give you my experienc,back ground and idea I have for grade 3rd through 9th and possibly up to 12th grand never no college students might want in. I am so thrilled to know that you are interested in becoming a member of the new world famous Chautauquaettes Forever of Chautauqua County. No this name isn’t the one we are going to use, because we will have a contest for the name of our new Drill/Majorette/Pep Squad all rolled into one team. From coast to coast the new name of this drill team will become synonymous with beauty, pride, perfection and poise! Since this is a new beginning 2006, the new drill/majorettes/squad team will thrill and captivate the audiences exciting performances with polished precision. If you want to become a Chautauquaettes forever you must have ability, a deep desire to be the best, and willingness to “give your all”! We set our goals high and never settle for anything less than perfection. As a Chautauquaettes Forever you will experience great accomplishments, lasting friendships and a sense of pride that is unequaled. It all begins with pre-training, which will be explained in this information packet at the 1st meeting to be scheduled in December. You do not have to have prior dance experience, and if you do it will help your performances. All you need is practice…practice. Practices will not start until January 2006. We are looking forward to meeting and working with you. We appreciate your interest in a new organization and the spirit you will bring to your schools and community. (Attire must be form fitting_ c) Scrunches or loose clips in hair d) NO Jewelry of ANY Kind e) No underwear showing Absolutely NO body-piercing other than ear lobes (this includes flesh colored tongue rings). Tattoos are strongly discouraged and must be completely covered at all times. Squad consist of: · 1- Director · 1- Co-Director volunteer · 1 to 2 -Squad Captain (depending on number of line members) · 3 to 6 -Squad Lieutenant (depending on number of line members) · Unlimited Number of Line Members (No member will be turned away) · Volunteers Parents –Support Team and your parents Tryouts for Summer Only Tryouts are held in a closed session on a Friday (date to be determined by staff some time in May of 2006) The tryout process is explained and thoroughly rehearsed during Pre-training. I can tell you the only ones who will need to tryout are the ones who want to be a Captains, and Lieutenants The number of leaders will depend on the turn out of team this will show, how many leaders will need to tryout. Any one can try out for these three positions. All line members can be asked, to assist the girls who are trying out. All line members must attend the tryouts and observe what they might be expecting to do. All Member Lines are not required to have to tryout, you make it to each training/practice/closed session days and you will know your routine. Locations: Practices will be determined week in advance during practices, so ask before you leave Or check your email. Looking for all donated areas until we are established. Searching For a location that will hold the Dill Team practices. Winter Months will be inside: · Churches gym, school gym, any hall - large enough to handle a group of girls & young ladies · Email address (if you use a computer) all messages will be sent o On bad days of our practice it will be rescheduled · Practice inside will be 2 to 3 hours not to exceed o On bad days of our practice it will be rescheduled (has to be bad enough car can’t travel) Summers Months will be outside practices, suggested areas for summer use: · Town/Village, Public/Government Parks, Football fields-for the lines o Any place that can occupy our new drill team. · We may have to travel to other towns that you live in, to show presents of the new drill team. o All girls are required to find a ride or have parents bring you to site. · Each practice in the Summer is 3 hours no more than 4 hours will know in advance · Bring snacks depending on the time of day. Eat a good healthy meal 3 hrs before workout o Fruits, crackers etc. o Lots of water, sports and energy drinks to keep energy up This is your goal and every word on this list is what each girl is striving for. If you can honor these words you will be a great Chautauquaettes forever, even when you leave. Remember this on phrase: These are your teammates, your friends, your partners and maybe a third family that will always be there for you. You always have someone to talk to at all times.
